West Nusa Tenggara, comprising the western Lesser Sunda Islands of Lombok, Sumbawa, Moyo, and Sangeang. Nusa Tenggara is Indonesian for “southeast islands.†The province fronts the Flores Sea to the northeast, the Sape Strait to the east, the Indian Ocean to the south, Lombok Strait to the west, and the Bali Sea to the northwest. The capital is Mataram, in west-central Lombok.
